Oh my god, in four hours I will officially be an adult. I'm not ready for responsibility :crying: (Except managing the Spamocratic Court of course). But it's so weird that technically I have only a few hours of childhood left. It's not like everything's going to change at midnight but I'm not used at all to having to think about stuff like health insurance. Guess that'll come with time.

Nah don't worry, you never stop being a kid. Just wait five years and you'll see. I'm pretty sure I don't feel any different than I did when I was 17/18.

As for health insurance, you're at the age when you're least likely to actually need it, so you have that going for you.

Shirk all responsibilities and build a fort join the dark side and ab's glorious rebellion!

:commie: Y'all got on this thread for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another thread, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can rule people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave. :commie:

I suppose your health insurance is still covered for you while you are a student?

The only think that really changes is, you will start getting those invitations to elections when there is one. ;)

Anyway, as abbie here says, you never stop being a child ... or at least feeling as one. Well, I cannot speak for later than that, but certainly not till you are 24. :P

For some reason the app won't let me quote more than one person...

Helena, yeah, they've explained most of it or are going to. Also I'm royalty now, I can't very well join the rebellion now can I?

Good to hear ab. I'd hate to stop feeling like a kid.

And yeah I probably won't need it, but it's something to get used to.

Buck, that's not how it works here :dunno: We have to arrange that ourselves, but a large part of it is paid by some government subsidy (if that's the English word).

Elections is also something I should look into, but there are a few parties I know I'll definitely NOT vote for.

Man it was so fucking cold today. The good news is that my weekend starts tomorrow afternoon [emoji317] I'll be starting driving lessons sometime this week too.

Poison. I tried with traps humane and otherwise, they don't work.

I'm not liking this new change to the forum, I'd just about worked out how to make new content work, and now I have to do this bullshit 'activity stream,' eat a fucking dick.

Happy Birthday First!

There's more good to being an adult than bad in my experience.

Traps always work on this side of the pond, but maybe you don't have peanut butter? A trap baited with pb is deadly.

Humph. Sucks to be in a non-post-socialist country I guess. :P I am sure you will figure everything out just fine though.

I think so, yeah.

And no spoilers alright? I wasn't intending to read that book but other people might.

That sentence has very carefully been constructed to not be a spoiler. Give me some credit. And do read the book. It's a little difficult to get into  but worth it.

And Happy Birthday.

Happy birthday First!

I have changed my av, but I am not happy with it.  I was trying to find my most feminine recent picture (the cruise pic is tops, but it is about 15 yrs old)

It's very nice, I like it!

Mouse update; walked into the kitchen to grab my water from the fridge and Maureen (that's what we named her. Because of course we would) is sat in the middle of the floor. She saw me and scurried off, squeezing into a gap beneath the cupboards. *sigh* Guess I had better buy some stuff while I'm out today. We notified the staff too, since this likely means others in the accommodation will also have mice problems.

Be kind to the mouse. Who knows, might turn out to be  the master rat

Thanks.

Happy Birthday Bamm Bamm,   Congrats on Adulthood.    Remember you are now able to legally do all the stuff you wanted as a kid.   Always be a kid though,  never grow old in mind  (and hopefully body)

Good luck with the driving lessons

Thank you, my queen.

Apparently we have pop up notifications and sound notifications. I unticked that in my settings, but still got a ping and a window about FOMN just quoting me. I do not like it.

Spoiler

Spoiler boxes look better now though.
