Can we come up with a better name than "Planetos"?

Planetos is simply not medieval language. A "planet" is a wandering star, that fails to remain fixed in the rotating firmament. To refer to the world on which one stands as a "planet" is suggests a more modern, non-medieval knowledge of astronomy.

True, but it is not for in-world use; it is a shorthand reference for fans. In that context it is entirely appropriate, as it differentiates our Earth from their 'Earth' in a single, easily comprehensible term of reference. :)

It's hard to imagine a situation where somebody would actually be confused about which Earth you're talking about.
