Pigeon Pie
God, even though we did not see much and it was much shorter, Shireen's end was as difficult to watch as Red Wedding :/ If the Night's King position opens up at some point, Stannis might even apply for it now. Right now in the North there are three fucked up parties: The others, the Boltons and Stannis. Think I still hope Stannis outlasts the other two, if only for him not wanting to kill Jon Snow. I am kinda surprised about Hizdahr. I feel the show should have somebody at least partially understanding why the Harpies are acting the way they do. And besides Hizdahr the show has not introduced any guy who could fulfill this role. Liked Drogon, nice job he did. But then, what the hell is wrong with the unsullied? In the books they are a force to be reckoned with, here they get repeatedly thrashed. Been wondering that... in the books they make it look like the unsullied are unbeatable, super rich people buy one or two to guard their entire household, a handful of them beat up a huge khalasar, etc... It's like making an offense football player do defense only, with the motivation that being known as the best player in the world, he'd automatically be the best defender also. He might be the best player when it comes to offense, but he has no notable skill doing defense and one might even say years of playing on the offense shaped his body and mind to be at a disadvantage while on defense. When the president is in danger you don't turn the Navy SEALS into his bodyguards either. They might be known as the most elite forces in the world, but trained bodyguards are far more experienced in that role and will do better at that task. Equilibrium
Can't wait for Jorah/Daario/Tyrion to start governing the Meereene, three (dick)heads of the dragon, maybe they will even have war with Yezzan
The Emberheart
Unsullied are an army not a police force. You need both. My point is Unsullied were used as police force, which they aren't at all suited for, it's a waste of good (human) resource. It's a lot faster training fanatical young men into a militia force, than gelding a bunch of boys and training them into unsullied, even more now that the practise is banned. Can't wait for Jorah/Daario/Tyrion to start governing the Meereene, three (dick)heads of the dragon, maybe they will even have war with Yezzan They'll probably end up piss drunk together on their first day. Let's just hope Missandei won't say "fuck Meereen, lets go find our Queen, Grey Worm" taking the unsullied with them. Seeing how Unsullied fare against some spoiled rich boys with knives that may even be good thing for the trio. But Missandei is now in love with her savior Tyrion because even whores get in love with Tyrion after few minutes and few words.
Laughing Storm Reborn
Don´t know, i'll ask folks who are still going to watch it... Fearodh
I don't think it was completely out of character for Stannis to do this, at least show Stannis. In the books I thought he was less fanatic than others about his faith, it was more kinda convenient for him and Mel offered great value. In the show he really seems to believe he is Azor Ahai reborn. And what did AA do? Plunge his sword into Nessa's heart. In the darkest hour, this "hero" also used some kind of blood magic. Stannis sits in a shit position, can't go back and with the weather can't go front, his army starving, Boltons enjoying the safety of Winterfell. If he does not act quick, anyway everybody - including Shireen - is going to die. So he is a way more evil fanatic in the show than in the books. But I can see the build up. jet199
I know I've quoted Mel a couple of times saying that she has seen Stannis leading the final battle against the WW however I have noticed that she never said that she has seen him winning. I have now come to the conclusion that Mel has seen Stannis fail and that is why she is so keen to meddle and to sacrifice people to the cause. She is trying desperately to stop what she has seen happening. After all she believes that AAR will defeat the others so in her mind she just needs to do the lord's work and he will come good on his promise and defeat the darkness. However I think the twist will be that the whole battle/war thing it just a side show and the threat will really be stopped by the likes of Bran and Sam using their brains rather than hardmen leading armies. All Mel's and Stannis's sacrifices will be for nothing because they are fighting the wrong war and on the wrong front. (I am still holding out for a Shireen rising from the ashes Dany-style twist though) I hope they will tell Jon about Sansa so Jon has a decent reason for commiting treason and the FTW guys have a decent reason to take him out. The worst case scenario is that Olly just loses and it is a pure act of aggression. I'm still hopping for the Theon/tree scene and for Brienne to step up her game and get inside Winterfell but now I think they don't really have that enough time to do anything more than a last minute run for safety. It Would be nice if Theon and Sansa could get to Stannis and tell him how to get over the wall and for that to be the supposed "gift" from Red Rahloo. At the moment it seem that the lord of light's only gift to his chosen hero for the ultimate sacrifice is it warming up enough to make icicles drip a bit . If Stannis dies next episode it will probably be Selyse who stabs him, mother's unmercy, and Brienne will have just been a distraction/red herring. The best thing they could do with Brienne is make her go to Stannis over the Boltons and tell Stannis that she saw his shadow kill Renly, anything to put doubt in his mind about Mel is a good thing even if he doesn't reserve any redemption. I want him to realise he was wrong to trust her and completely wrong to kill Shireen before he fails. If Sansa is taking the fArya role further then maybe she could go the Braavos next season and meet Arya. Davos could maybe take the Massey role rather than going to find Rickon. I really hope they still have the theatre next season, along with the play of the show, even if they have already used up all of the aspects of the Mercy chapter over they last two seasons. Maybe Arya could meet Sansa while playing Sansa and Sansa could meet Arya while taking the story of fArya. I'm thinking that in Dany's arc we will get a scene at the beginning of the next episode which shows Tryon, Daario and Jorah sorting Meereen out and generally moping. I hope that either Tyrion or Jorah release the dragons rather than a minor character. Then the last seen will be Dany meeting the Dothraki. I'm thinking they will show what happens next rather than leaving it at that so Dany will either have them all bow down to her (problematic) or she will agree to go and live with the crones (and we will have the crones bowing down to her next season, episode title Dany does Female Emancipation). Edit: I also think there is a possibility that we might get a bit more Dorne. May be a treasonous farewell chat between Doran and Trystan or Jaime burning Cercei's letter. Just a little something to have made it worthwhile.
Ser Sinister
I found this to be a very depressing episode, for obvious reasons. I was hoping that they would at least show that burning Shireen led to some positive outcome. Instead, we get nothing other than a quick statement by Stannis about a half-hour later in the previews for next week. Until Drogon appeared, I asked my wife if anything positive was going to happen in this episode. Shouldn't get too worked up about it, I guess...probably more to follow next week. SerJeremiahLouistark
I'm still not pulling for the Boltons. Stannis over Boltons, Brienne over Stannis, Starks and Targs over everyone. Then I'll be able to sleep again lol

I will say this about Stannis, at least the insane jerk had enough balls to come out of his tent and not be a coward and not watch. When he fails and when everyone knows that his red priestess is only a sorceress, and he is drawing his final breath after Oathkeeper is plunged into his heart, I hope he sees Shireen and Renly and they shoot him bird as the Old Gods send him on to hell. White Harbors Wrath
I wanted to like Stannis. I really did, and after episode 4, I genuinely started to. But after tonight, I hope he dies as soon as possible. I have no respect or sympathy for a man who not only murders his child, but shows no sorrow or remorse while she is being killed. It crushed him. He looked visibly worn from the previous scene.

acosta
It's going to be funny after all this build-up, if burning leeches gets him three dead rival kings, and burning his own daughter gets him slightly better weather. After four years of "there's power in king's blood," you'd think the Boltons and Tommen would just magically drop dead. Stannis is dead to me now, but I'm convinced he truly believes he's doing the right thing, maybe even the only thing he can do, and he thinks he is humanity's only hope in the fight against ultimate evil. The tragedy is he's wrong. The god he serves is also evil, every bit as evil as the Great Other. If humanity still has any hope at all, it's with Bran and the children, but nobody even realizes they exist, not even Melisandre. Jojen was the only seer who actually saw what mattered. Again, what did burning a King himself get them? Leeches get you 3 dead kings, burning a king alive gets you?? And now let's burn Shireen because it's cold and we are hungry. Grail King
It's the sixth, but I mixed up the number of Aegons before him... I'll just change the entire thing because I'm bored lol I think she might just end up doing both. Killing Stannis AND saving Sansa and taking her north, to the wall. Until Rickon shows up I think she stays in Winterfell.
