We have our first decent look at Archangel.

We also have a not-as-shitty version of Apocalypse to look at via an image alleged to be official.

Well... at least Apocalypse wasn't sporting duck lips.

Yeah I'm not really getting the Olivia Munn obsession guys...

Angel looks more thug like than I think him to be. Even in his ArchAngel form he's meant to be kind of graceful. Hoping it's just the pictures. And as for the tattoos, well I guess they're tied up with the AoA storyline... Not blown away I must say.

Apocalypse looks less blue, which gives me slight hope they took a pit of the criticism in post into account, but won't hold me breath.

Not blown away, but they're standing in front of a green screen, so who knows how it'll look on screen.

As for the facial tattoos, is that just a nod to the comic character's head covering or place markers for CGI overlay?

That Pic of (Arch)Angel and Psylocke is actually cropped, it also contains their doubles. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/COlauc6WgAE-BCa.jpg:large

Almost certain they're just meant to be tattoos. They tend to use high contrast dots for cgi stuff. And whilst the main lines might follow the edges of a potential mask,  what purpose would the line to the eye serve?

Also with the images today were some of the actual X-Men:

they look more armoured than the traditional costume, it's obviously not very easy to see much but I think I like it. :dunno: They look better than the Days of Future Past future suits and the original X-Men films suits.

Lol, can't believe how stupid the X-characters always look.

Really hoping X-Men gets rebooted one day with a director who loves the characters and has a vision that's more creative than "let's put everyone in shitty black jumpsuits."

I do agree, the all-black look is bad, i liked the regular yellow and blue outfits they have in First Class much more.

At least it had the x-men colors.

Well, what would you prefer, yellow spandex?

No, you don't have to put these guys in spandex to have them look like they're wearing their costumes. Deadpool looks like Deadpool and he's not wearing spandex. Everybody in the Marvel movies looks like their characters and none of them are wearing spandex.

The fact that we've seen Wolverine in 29 movies and he's never once looked like Wolverine is ridiculous. So screwy that they have refused to make the X-Men look unique until Psylocke's shitty one-piece bathing suit.

There's nothing new in this article, but it does raise a good point. If this film raises Apocalypse encounter with Celestial (if Fox have the rights, they appeared in GotG) technology, it stands to reason that the franchise will start to integrate cosmic storylines. I wonder if they have the rights to the Shi'ar.

I guess they may have the Shi'ar and starjammers. They also have a lot of alien races from FF to play with. They could easily rip off GOTG with "Starjammers"- I'd certainly watch it.

I find myself wondering if they use more general characters from FF, say Silver Surfer and Galactus, that would be enough to stop the rights from reverting. You'd have to imagine the deal would stop that from happening, but you never know.
