It looks to me like he tried to be too smart, flashy, headbutted it towards De Gea...instead of just pass it to him or put it behind the line. Just totally unnecessary. It looks to me like he tried to be too smart, flashy, headbutted it towards De Gea...He wanted to control it with his foot (or smash it, either way), he either misread the bounce or the wind took it, he ended up having to rush a header that didn't get nearly enough distance on it.It is an all round bad performance by the team and him getting that right wouldn't have changed a great deal overall, it just seems unfair to criticise him for intent when he's getting back and helping out and simply got something wrong. Benteke scored but still looks unsuited to our play. Firmino has been terrible since he was sublime vs City. Coutinho and Lallana are both unconvincing lately. We need to rediscover some spark and cohesion in our front four. Origi very unlucky to get an injury after starting well and showing himself worthy of the starting role.
