Daemon the Leaner
15 hours ago, Consigliere said: They reached the CL final the following season so can't have been too mentally damaging. PSG did not collapse under Tuchel either - they won their CL group and are only 1 point off the top in the league. They were very likely to pull away in the league eventually anyway. They've also had a lot of injuries to deal with this season as well and those teams that participated in European competitions in August have tended to take a while to get going this season due to no preseason. Tuchel was sacked because his increasingly fractured relationship with Leonardo reached the point of being untenable rather than over results. Results-wise, it indeed wasn't a collapse. But french pundits made it clear that some persons in PSG have been quite shocked by this CL eliminiation. These persons are particularly Mbappé, who led PSG's line that night (and missed a couple of chances), and Tuchel who started to lose the dressing room then (again, according to French media). Soylent Brown
Both sides look like they're up for this, it should be a fun game. No idea how Rashford managed to miss his chance.
Soylent Brown
Leicester's midfield has been incredibly sloppy today. United should be annoyed if they don't go on to win this.
ljkeane
I'll take that but I have to say United were a bit unlucky. Leicester looked fairly ropey every time United had the ball in the attacking third while Leicester scored off pretty much their only two chances. polishgenius
That's not a bad result but given how the game went it is disappointing. We seem to have become the opposite of what we were a year ago -then it was lack of chances but efficient when we got them, now we creat loads but aren't efficient. Consigliere
Should've won that game. It was Rashford's turn today to fluff clear chances. It's good that we are creating much more this season than we have done for years but annoying that we keep bottling most of them and our defence always has one or two braindead moments in nearly every game. Consigliere
That was truly abysmal from Palace. Even with 10 men, Villa still made them look like chumps. 3-0 was flattering to Palace - this could have been another 7-0 hammering. eta.

Consigliere
Xhaka redemption! Elneny is pants. All he's been doing is running around aimlessly and playing hospital passes. Tierney has been excellent. Chelsea were rubbish all round apart from a few moments of individual skill from Pulisic.
ljkeane
Still a lot better than expected from Arsenal. They seem to be willing to actually take some risks in attack which is a nice change of pace.

Soylent Brown
Michael Oliver just played 'advantage' with the ball running to an offside Arsenal player. Utterly fucking useless.
Soylent Brown
And does Gary Neville need to see a doctor or something? He's been gasping and grunting through the whole fucking game.
Consigliere
Don't know why Lampard opted to bring on Havertz instead of Giroud especially since Chelsea's attacking strategy today has primarily been crosses.
polishgenius
Martinelli is a better player than Aubameyand, I'm saying it now.
