A Horse Named Stranger
Ok, Oilers are out. A pity, this was the best chance in years for a Canadian team to win the cup.But if you concede 4 goals every other game, you won't succeed. Not sure who to root for now... I think I will support kal in his existence as a lifelong Kraken fan. And Ronnie Franchise winning the Cup against the Canes would be funny, too. A Horse Named Stranger
This play off tree now looks utterly depressing. Teams from Florida, North Carolina, Texas and Las Vegas are the teams in the conference finals. Fort Lauderdale, Charleston, Dallas and Vegas are such well known hockey towns. Panthers do not even have Bobby Lou as a redeeming factor anymore.

grozeng
I love that Eichel was saying it was a legal hit after the game. That he went across the middle, tripped, had his head down and got hit hard. But he said it was legal. I have no allegiance to either team here, but would be happy if Vegas wins after having their star player make that comment. I feel bad for Tkachuk too. That hit was hard, but totally legal. Arakasi
Bob overachieved in the first three rounds. Him coming back to earth plus Tkachuk being injured killed Florida’s chances.

kairparavel
JFC the Chicago Blackhawks continue to be sus. Like, given EVERYTHING that has come out in the past two years, don't obfuscate. If Corey Perry didn't do anything illegal then say what he did. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/38999666/blackhawks-waive-corey-perry-unacceptable-conduct The Blackhawks, if you'll recall, gave cover to a sexual predator. https://theathletic.com/5033750/2023/11/05/blackhawks-lawsuit-brad-aldrich-sexual-assault/

That's just internet trolls. Sad that it's risen to the level of 'internet true'. Confirmed in the press release that no other player or family member was involved. Today more has come out and the incident involved a Blackhawks org employee. Yep, I'd be curious where that sweet spot is, that isn't anything illegal and the NHLPA not wanting to get near. But technically speaking, we don't know whether it wasn't anything illegal. I mean the response when asked whetehr it was anything illegal was not a clear: "No!" Instead the answer was: "It was work place related." which isn't exactly a denial.
