Farewell, Matt Canada.

I like how all the sports commentators are NOW, now that he is fired, coming out of the woodwork to remark how easy it was to predict the play based on the formation Canada had the Steelers in at the snap.  Thanks, guys, really appreciate the useful insight.

And yet when Tony Romo calls the play out people give him shit for it. They just don't like him is all.

Really though, the NFL is a big sorority and they protect each other even when they move to broadcasting. Not normal to call someone out like Payton did in Denver this year about last years coaching job.

At just past the midpoint of the season, who is the MVP favorite?

Feels like this isn't Mahomes' year.  Jalen Hurts is the best player on the best team, but even he doesn't seem like he's having as strong a year as before.  Pre-season darlings Burrow and Allen are out.

Could Lamar be making a case for a second? If Purdy gets through is Bird Hunting month, I think he has to be considered.  (Seahawks, Eagles, Seahawks, Cardinals, Ravens are the next five games.  )

But I honestly don't really know who has the hype at this point. :dunno:

There really is nothing in the TD leader race, 13 QBs between 15 and 22.  Feels like normally a few would have separated themselves from the pack.

Feels like the kind of year where a standout WR or RB could steal the trophy, but there's really not anyone doing that either.

Maybe Brady is right and its all mediocre football.

Poor Kirk. He could have been a contender.

Also, Jace's sexiest man alive is now bitching that his famous arrest was because he was a white billionaire. Buddy, the only reason you're not still in jail is because you're a white billionaire. Having a huge stash of illegal pills and tens of thousands of dollars in cash is an easy slam dunk for the prosecution if they want to do it.

Well, shit. Persecuted White Man Complex wasn't on the list of character traits when I endorsed him as the most likeable owner!

Hell has frozen over when I'm smiling at the Packers fucking up the Lions.

ETA: Wow this halftime performance is bad. I've never listened to Jack Harlow before. How are terrible musicians becoming big stars these days? This is like hearing a person speak terrible poetry at a coffee shop.

My god, Jets.

Is the NFL and NBA torture porn for those living in NY, but not from there?

ETA: Yay Mostert, get me those points!

Rare do you see 335 yards vs. 50. They're going to have to fire the coach.

How much is the coach to blame vs the GM? Their qb today is likely there because of Rodgers. Their OC, who somehow is still their playcaller, is there because of Rodgers. Is the coach or GM more to blame for how they kowtowed to A-A-Ron to get him?

The roster isn't bad. The on field production has been. That's more on the coach. Saleh may just be better suited to be a DC.
