Hearing Leoben is considered one of the hottest is a surprise. I can barely remember what the guy looks like.

What I don't understand is the love for Helo. I find him bland.

Sexiest men: Baltar, Gaeta

Sadly, the insane part of Baltar appeals to me too. He, uh, fits into a certain pattern. Gaeta is just a sexy geek.

Hottest women: Starbuck, and if I were older, Roslin. There's something about her...

Of the females on the show, Cally is the least attractive, looks wise, of anyone who appears regularly. Barring the ridiculously hot Six and Eight models, I'd say D'Anna, Dualla, Starbuck, Racetrack, Kat, and Tory all easily outgrade Cally. In addition to her plain looks in the show, she plays the character "dumb", which is offputting.

I'd pick [b]Seelix[/b], given a choice. Objectively, not quite Tricia Helfer. But tall brunettes with short-hair have always been a favorite.

Agreed. This is what turns me off about her, as well.

8 and Dualla are the most attractive on the show for me. Though 6 is also super hot regardless of hair color.

It wasn't in this episode but the last one, when he told his father that he "needed a change" and there was a "position opening up" in "the government". I think that's about all there is to it (plus Jamie Bamber has always said in interviews that his take on the character was that he wasn't happy in the military, and if the Cylon attack hadn't happened, he would have resigned).

Weighing in on the females:

Cally: 5 out of 10. Plain looking, your average woman. Much like the Chief is your average male.
Lucy Lawless cylon: 6/10. Good looking but not sexy. Not even in Xena.
Tricia Helfer: 4 out of 10. Tall and skinny. They really want to make her come across as the sexy one but problematically, she doesn't have a figure, which I imagined would be a basic requirement.
Boomer: 6 out of 10. Cute, but petite.
Racetrack/Starbuck: 2 out of 10. Totally unattractive she-males. Nice if you like women who look like young boys.

The two most attractive women by some margin I would say are Tory ( nothing wrong with her at all) and Dualla ( nice face and figure).

For an older woman I think Roslin definitly has good looks.

Generally I think it's clear that there must indeed be very little to eat in the BSG fleet.

Okay, back to the episode; a question: I was away for a few seconds, so I don't know if this was answered: had the centurions been lobotomised before, and was it now undone, or have they been upgraded with decision-making abilities?


Is there a theory on where starbuck got her clean viper from? And who gave it to her?


During Baltar's sex scene, he said he's fed up with ... I didn't hear what he was fed up with. Something with god or sth? Speaking of baltar, is he on the galactica??? Or is it simply a matter of "we don't have money for a different set, so it looks like galactica but isn't"?


As for the final 1, I hope for Romo Lambkin. He is a new character, so there still are some non-cylon cast members, he's got a fascination with (what can change(sorry)) the nature of a man , his background is sufficiently clouded (parents killed when 9 ; raised by uncle until enough money to run away). I also read that he's scheduled to return in the last half of the season?


All in all, he's a better candidate than Zarek, because Zarek is needed to have a character that can credibly disagree with the president's decisions (and the writers aren't going to redo the military-coup-d'etat storyline). Also, Zarek is needed to keep humanity in the shade of grey (his merciless ambition we were shown during the elections)

I think Starbuck is hot and has been getting hotter as the series has progressed.

Among the guys, Baltar is definitly one of the prettiest. Lee and Anders are very pretty of course, but too cookie cutter for my taste, they're a bit bland. Gaeta definitly is very smexy, especially with the longuer more curly hair, yummy. Tyrol's pretty hot in his own category. For the older guys, Zarek's quite handsome.

Among the girls, I like Dee, Kat and Roslin has her moments. Kara's sexy because she's awesome, not because she's pretty, if that makes any sense to you. Trica's way too skinny for my taste, but I do find her pretty when she's got the more natural looking dirty blonde hair of Gina and Melanie. Most sexy woman was Kendra however. I kinda fell in love with her at first sight :) Tori's definitly pretty sexy too, but I don't like her character much...
I found d'Anna hot in the S2 only, in the S3 she had such a horrible hairdo :(

I don't think Anders is cute, per se, but he is indeed quite hot. And if Felix Gaeta ain't gay, then neither am I.

The entirety of fandom thnks that Gaeta is gay, and the actor plays up on that: in the [b]BSG[/b] Season 3 gag reel there's a bit where he's trying to see Baltar in his cell and he comes on to the guard, which was pretty funny.

Of course, in [i]Pegasus[/i] he was delighted to get his hands on [i]Pegasus[/i]' computer records and entertainment archives and was asking if there was any porn in there. Of course, he didn't specific which kind... ;)

What would be quite amusing is if they turned it on its head and Gaeta turned out to have been with half the women in the Fleet. Always the quiet ones...

Ever since [i]Resurrection Ship[/i], Apollo has been totally unhappy with his career in the military. He finally decided to leave at the end of Season 3, and now there is some sort of position for him in the civilian government. I thought I heard the Quorum mentioned, but I'm not sure.

edit: I'm now reasonably sure that Tom Zarek nominated him for a position in the Quorum of Twelve.

I suppose it's too much to hope for that Starbuck is going away and never coming back? I could deal with the tranny-ness if she wasn't also such a horrible actress. Most of the scenes involving her last episode made me embarassed as a viewer to be watching the show.

I thought it was interesting that the Last Supper image consists of exactly six humans and six cylons. Hopefully that was on purpose.

I like Wert's idea that Zarek is the Final Cylon. I wouldn't mind if it's someone who hasn't been introduced as long as they give a good explanation for it.

eta: the ringing brings up a good point. Both Starbuck and Baltar talk of hearing ringing or noise yet neither one is affected by it like the Four were. So they're being used by someone, the question is for what.

I remember reading that there were actually several shots taken for the Last Supper picture, some of which didn't have the empty place at the table. I think that in general, it's really up in the air whether or not the picture is significant. Some sources have been saying yes, some no.

OK, I finally got to see Razor this weekend. Now coupled with these current episodes....I can't seem to wrap my head around it all.

There seems to be two factions of Cylons. The old cylons (loved the old cylons flying the ship BTW, that was great) which were gaurding a failed attempt at creating a ship hybrid?

Then we have new Cylons, which are having some kind of civil war / religious awaking now. Are these "new" cylons actually decedants of the "old" cylons? Or are they something completely different all together.

We have all the christian allusions. Is Baltar Judah or Jesus? We have one god versus many....

Is Starbuck really Starbuck? In Razor, the hybrid said that Starbuck would lead humanity to its doom. This has all happended before, and will happen again? Are we talking about a Matrix type thing here?

Too many questions and too many threads, I'm not sure how they are going to tie all this together.
