Spockydog
Pardew: Arsenal should name their stadium after Arsène Wenger Got no problem with this whatsoever. The Wengerdome. Got a nice ring to it, certainly better than The Emirates.

Raja
I'm already trembling at going up against Pardew. Especially with no LK6, and with Debuchy at centre back.

Did you know that Papiss Cisse has by far the best goals-to-minutes ratio of any striker in the Premier League so far this season? You do now. You do now. This made me ponder the best goals-to-minutes-played ratios in Premier League history. My first thought was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but it turns out he isn't even close to Sergio Aguero. mormont
Hereward! Good to see you back. Although coming back just to stick the boot in to Hearts seems a little cruel. It's a lot easier to take when your team is the only one in the UK with an undefeated league record. 41 points from 45, +33 GD, defeated Rangers twice and taken four points off Hibs, nine points clear at the top and looking good for promotion. :) (We will draw a discreet veil over the cup results, though.) My first thought was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but it turns out he isn't even close to Sergio Aguero. Yeah, Ole isn't anywhere near the top, although that's largely because he spent most two seasons playing on the wing (and then got crippled). Javier Hernandez was top of the list before last season dropped his ratio a little. Although I'm not sure if he'd be ahead of Aguero anyhow now. Either way, it's a bit daft that both him and Welbeck have been pushed out - there wasn't space for both but at the current moment it looks like keeping Chicharito would have been a far better option than loaning Falcao. Btw, if whoscored have their stats right, his goals-to-minutes ratio in La Liga this season is one every 53 minutes. Which is only slightly less than Ronaldo's absolutely mindblowing one every 50 minutes. Although Ronaldo's scored 23 as opposed to Hernandez' 3, so yeah. baxus
Yeah man, Johnson is paid an obscene amount of money I hate you with the fire of thousand burning suns for reminding me of that. Don't get me wrong, I understand that huge amounts of money are circulating in modern football and I agree that players should get their piece of the cake. It's just that this particular player is nowhere near the level of talent and skill nor marketing potential to be making more in a week than specialist doctors and scientists in most of the world make in a year (or years). Having fond memories of when we bought him and loads of people and papers were saying it was a waste of money and he was over priced LOL. It was Ollie Holt from the Daily Mirror who tweeted out that Charlie Adam would be the best transfer that summer. Even at the time he must have known that would be stupid... Spockydog
Reports this morning that Aaron Ramsey is crockled yet again. The hamstring he tweaked on Tuesday is now likely to keep him out for four weeks. Bloody typical. Just as he was starting to show glimpses of last season's form.... Spockydog
FFS I haven't seen the press conference yet, but thinking about this, I'm sure he said it with smirk and a twinkle in his eye. And given the state of our injury list, logically, what he is saying is, 'We will definitely be active in the transfer market.' At least, I hope so... Raja
Oh come now, his word means nothing at all at a press conference about the transfer market. Fairly certain he said we had no interest in Arteta the day before we signed him.
