drawkcabi
Wow, MSNBC is treating it like someone's died. Continuous coverage right now, just talking about the legacy of TDS.
Summah
I hope that (msnbc) gets mocked on the show tomorrow.

Commodore
where will young people get their sense of superiority reinforced now? Maher? Oliver?
Lord Hanna
I hope that (msnbc) gets mocked on the show tomorrow. They probably will. Jon isn't the type to let that kind of thing slide without mentioning it.
lancerman
I've heard so many people say "where are we going to get the news now". I love the Daily Show, but come on.

Quoth
Hope to God that there's a "Best of" Special in the near future. His opening segments routinely have me laughing to tears.
Manhole Eunuchsbane
Heard Craig Ferguson suggested as a possible replacement. Also a possible co-anchor with Jason Jones and Sandra Bee. I suppose we could do worse.
awesome possum
The end of an era in American entertainment. The thought of not having The Daily Show (or at least Stewart's version of it) for the 2016 elections is almost heartbreaking.
Jaxom 1974
Heard Craig Ferguson suggested as a possible replacement. Also a possible co-anchor with Jason Jones and Sandra Bee. I suppose we could do worse.Jones and Bee did a random episode recently... It was interesting...Ferguson is intriguing. I suppose the issue is tempering expectations of replacing Stewart with what he became vs what he started as.
Martini Sigil
Stewart is irreplaceable.... best to let the franchise end with him, and develop something new.
RumHam
Stewart is irreplaceable.... best to let the franchise end with him, and develop something new. I don't agree, his hiatus where Oliver replaced him pretty much disproved that. After all it didn't start with him as the host. He is awesome though. Manhole Eunuchsbane
Stewart is irreplaceable.... best to let the franchise end with him, and develop something new. You have a point, but that won't happen. It might tank with another host, but there's no way Comedy Central will just let that Golden Goose die without trying to milk it further. Trebla
where will young people get their sense of superiority reinforced now? Maher? Oliver? On the bright side, even though Stewart is leaving, conservatives will still be around to make asses of themselves! ;)
Manhole Eunuchsbane
On the bright side, even though Stewart is leaving, conservatives will still be around to make asses of themselves! ;) Yeah, but no one puts the spotlight on them with the same grace and wit as Colbert or Stewart. :frown5:

Manhole Eunuchsbane
Collection of epic Stewart rants. Lord Flashheart
Stewart is irreplaceable. I'd love to see Rob Corddry try, even though he isn't really a correspondent anymore...and he is in movies now..damn it.where will young people get their sense of superiority reinforced now? Maher? Oliver?Maher is an ass. Oliver on the other hand is on to something. Have you even watched last week tonight? It's probably more real news packed into thirty minutes than CNN or FOX can muster in a 24 hour cycle.
