As well as protecting the value of the asset. Of course, the downside is if they don't work out and Chelsea are lumbered with undoubtedly massive wage bills. And what about when all their megastars come back from injury? Potter will have his work cut out. Edited January 20 by Spockydog

Mexal
No thanks. I’m good with Jesus and Eddie. Just think if he wanted to come to us, he would have last year and I’d rather spend the money brining in a winger and beefing up midfield. Firmino. Klopp is avid reader of this forum and gets a rise out of Soylent's breakdown. From a sporting perspective Soylent is right tho, the extension makes little sense given the sheer amount of forwards Liverpool have. Also it will clog the pathway for talents like Gordon into the first team. Anyway, soylent look on the bright side, at least they haven't talked about extending with Ox and Keita, yet. With Spurs getting themselves embroiled in the Juventus scandal (since their DoF has received a ban which might yet extend to all FIFA activities) and Kulusevski still technically only on loan and a known Arsenal fan, maybe you can hijack that deal. Winterfell is Burning
16 hours ago, Consigliere said: Dani Alves being transported to prison after judge ordered pre-trial detention without bail. Alves is accused of raping a 23-year-old woman in the bathroom of a nightclub on 30 December. Apparently, it was an attempted rape (he groped the woman and tried to force himself), but it was of course still pretty awful. Brazilian media reported that after previously saying he didn't even see her, he told the court it was consensual and the judge, not being an idiot, arrested him on the spot. Winterfell is Burning
Didn't see that, which makes it even worse. And to think this prick went to the WC despite barely playing for more than a year because Tite considered him an important leader for the group... polishgenius
Bournemouth bought Dango Ouatarra, missed that. Glad to see him in the league, he's one of my favourite prospects around at the moment.
Consigliere
Mudryk looked lively. Helped that he was initially up against Milner who can't run anymore though. Cucurella had a better defensive performance today than he has had for a while - pocketed Salah. Draw doesn't really help either side but is a great result for all the other top 4 chasing sides. Rorshach
Didn't see the first match, and according to The Guardian Live Reporting I was quite right to do so: Quote FULL TIME: Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea A third goalless draw in a row between these teams. There’s not a lot to write home about. A mid-table non-event.

Rorshach
You have to wonder about the incompetence of the Everton board to *not* have fired Frank Lampard yet. I'll amend my statement from last week: if the board doesn't resign, we go down. There's no there there.
Spockydog
Surely this is the end of Lampard. Give it Gerrard.
Rorshach
We can at least pretend to improve.. I think we'd hire you guys before we consider Gerrard. He'd not stand a chance. ETA: we're putting on Tom Davies, so now all will be well. Edited January 21 by Rorschach -
A Horse Named Stranger
Maybe call Chelsea and ask whether those 60m offer for Gordon is still any good The way they are just throwing cash around there's greater than zero chance it is.
