Corvinus85
News are starting to come in about that. MSNBC reported that a Belorussian Telegram channel said that Lukashenko has actually been negotiating with Prigozhin and convinced him to stand down.

dog-days
WTF. eta: Prigozhin must know he's going to fall out of a window in short order. Though Putin likely won't even try and hang that much of a veil over the assassination. What on earth could motivate him to turn back now? If he was worried by the likelihood of Wagner being wiped out down to the last man, he'd never have seized Rostov in the first place. Zorral
It just gets weirder and weirder. At least this means, I sincerely hope, no nuclear blasts. Ser Scot A Ellison

Arakasi
Eh really not a bad result. I imagine even pulling Wagner and Russian units off the lines like this will give Ukraine a chance to make gains off it. Especially if this negotiation stretches out.
Corvinus85
As soon as Wagner are back in their camps, airstrikes will commence. Prigozhin is an idiot if he thinks this is over.
Maithanet
Quite the turn of events. Perhaps prigozhin really is happy with replacing the MoD guys like Shoigu, etc. Situation still feels very tenuous. Is the compromise that now prigozhin is in charge of the military? Is he sharing power with Putin? Lots of unknowns. Just feels like Prigozhin is never going to get another opportunity like he has right now.
Zorral
It would be great if Ukrainian forces could take out all the materiel from Rostov.
Toth
I'm waiting until there is evidence of Wagner turning around/a credible video of Prigozhin saying so. Until then, I suspect it could just as well be a last ditch attempt by the FSB to sow confusion among Wagner. There is just no way Prigozhin would survive standing down just because he has Lukas word.
