RedEyedGhost
watching a show called The 4400... its awful... but we'll watch for a 'lil while more. You shut your whore mouth!
Castel
Oh, and I finally saw Interstellar. I think that film's ambivalent reaction is more or less what it deserved tbh. Not a bad flick but I certainly didn't love it as much as some of the other movies this year. I didn't love The Grand Budapest Hotel as much as other Wes films but I still loved it. Haven't seen any of his other films. Didn't think that they were my style. Might have to see them now.

Veltigar
I finally got around to watching Pan's Labyrinth. What an outstanding movie. It truly is one of the best films of the last decade. I think Del Toro often has a tendency to get a bit lost in his ideas, loosing sight of the story. Pan's Labyrinth had none of those flaws. It has great Del Toroesque ideas coupled with a strong story. The acting is brilliant to and I loved the message of this movie.

Nictarion
I really liked The Departed. Definitely more than Infernal Affairs.Leo, Jack, kick ass soundtrack. Good movie all around. It just baffles me it was the movie they finally gave Scorsese the Oscar for. The guy made Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and Casino. I mean wtf? It was almost like well we owed you this for some time.
Mark Antony
Yeah but when you look at the other nominees Departed was the clear winner imo though I agree Scorsese should have already won 2 or maybe even 3 prior to that.
Nox Irradiata
Starting Season 1 of Agents Of Shield. I watched the pilot when it first aired, but then lost track of it. Full season is up on Netflix now.
polishgenius
The Departed annoys me so much. I mean much about it is really good but it guts much of the moral complexity from the story and the ending is just :bang: .
Teng Ai Hui
Glad I'm not the only one with love for The 4400. Just wish Heroes was half that good.

Yeah that was stupid but other than that I liked the ending. Thought I'll admit I feel like the quality slightly drops after Costellos death. Some really gruesome scenes too. Will be watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes today, I think, asvI received another free movie code. Veltigar
It was almost like well we owed you this for some time.Isn't that how the academy awards work all the time? :p For the second time in a very short space of time, I am shocked at having seen a film before someone else on the board who seems something of a film buff :PDefinitely love Pan's Labyrinth though. Some really gruesome scenes too.I know I'm very late to this party :) I think it's because I'm not much of a Del Toro fan. The Hellboys don't do it for me, I was unable to complete Pacific Rim, El espinoza del diablo was good but flawed and his involvement with the Hobbit movies counts as a major strike against him. I think the only other Del Toro movie I really enjoyed was Blade II, which I didn't even know he directed until I checked his IMDB page yesterday. I kind of see where all his failures come from though. He spared all his talents to make Pan's Labyrinth. And that's okay :) Will be watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes today, I think, asvI received another free movie code. Unless I catch anything else that takesbmy fancy I will go with thatReally good movie imo. The second best blockbuster of this summer and the second best installment in the Apes franchise. Only the 1968 original is better, although it has less awesome action than this one.
Greywolf2375
Was bored and decided to see The Rock's Hercules. Was still bored. An hour and a half passed, and I'm not sure anything really happened. Wasn't horrible, just...lots of meh. Also caught 22 Jump Street. Definitely liked the first one better - this one they definitely forced. There were a couple moments that were very funny, but overall all it was a one watch and done. Nictarion
Just finished my binge watch of Twin Peaks (great show btw) and I'm thinking about starting either Peaky Blinders or Lilyhammer. Can anyone (possibly that's scene both) recommend which one I should go with?
Veltigar
I have yet to see both Lillyhamer and Peaky Blinders. But PB has Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy. Seems like two very good reasons to start with PB.

It's not an awesome movie, by any means, but it was entertaining and the fight scenes seemed a lot flashier and better choreographed than the Rock ones. polishgenius
What the rat on the rail? Yeah that was stupid but other than that I liked the ending. Thought I'll admit I feel like the quality slightly drops after Costellos death. The rat on the rail, but also the fact that Whalberg shot Matt Damon. Combined with the fact that he only turned on Costello because Costello was snitching himself, it took all the nuance out of it. No moral ambiguity here, guys!
