Argonath Diver
He definitely had his ankle very lightly stepped on, which was a shitty thing for that Mexican player to do, and acted like his entire foot was torn off. Sheesh.

AncalagonTheBlack
Roberto Firmino's World Cup minutes: 37 (1 goal) Gabriel Jesus' World Cup minutes: 359 (0 goals) What a flop Jesus is.Firmino better start against Belgium or they will be out.Mark my words! ljkeane
Not a bad performance from Mexico but they lack a bit of quality to translate their periods of dominance into goals. After they expended all that energy to press Brazil in the first 30 or so minutes and didn't get anything out of it Brazil always looked the likely winners. It was pretty similar against Germany, although they did get a goal they really should have had a few more.
Philokles
Very underwhelming tournament from Mexico after their opening game. They looked like replicating for the Germany performance for the first 20 mins then lost all cohesion (maybe due to the heat or exhaustion). Even still they had a good few chances into the second half but some of the shots from range they took, wasting good moves, were criminal from professional footballers. GallowKnight
It felt like Mexico kept passing when they should shoot and shooting when they should pass.
Winterfell is Burning
Mexico dominated the first 30 minutes, but overall they didn't really threatened Brasil's goal.
BigFatCoward
Jesus, Mexico are the Arsenal of the World cup, knocked out at the last 16 stage at every tournament since 94, how thoroughly depressing.

polishgenius
It really is bonkers that Martinez is insistently playing KDB in the deeper role when he's lacking penetration in the final third and has both Dembele and Tielemans sat on the bench. He did play deeper for Man City this year with some success. And to play him further forward, wouldn't you need to change formation? How do you shuffle the forwards? Daemon the Leaner
No blame to Martinez, he has Belgium playing attractive football. OTOH, Japan are also showing themselves threatening. Can't wait for the 2nd half. I actually don't want any of these 2 teams to be knocked out. :'(
