Which I really don't think is good for the general. I think a whole lot depends on South Carolina. She's been putting a lot of resources into getting something there, and I think if she can actually win there she can show that she can beat Biden elsewhere. If she somehow puts in a strong showing in Iowa that'd be something, too, but I don't get that vibe so far from Iowa - I think that Warren will do well there, Sanders not so much, and Biden will otherwise make a killing. Who knows what the expectations are gonna be, but if Harris is still in the top 4, she needs to beat those expectations in Iowa. NH is gonna be a bust between Biden and the fact both Sanders and Warren are from adjacent states. So, I think just like Obama you gotta overperform in Iowa to set up SC, if I was Harris. The Anti-Targ
Why did Democrats have to get Hillary Clinton out of their system before someone like Elizabeth Warren could step forward free from the taint of decades of allegations of criminal conspiracies and rape apologism (however unfair all or most of that might be)? Didn't California move up its primary? Quote California is slated to vote on March 3, the first day allowed for a state that’s not in the traditional early state lineup. And because of California’s early-voting system, voters will get primary ballots starting 30 days before the primary, which coincides with the Iowa caucuses. California moves up primary, wants bigger impact 2020 vote https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/california-moves-up-primary-wants-bigger-impact-2020-vote Also, what kind of cuckservative bullshit is this? You're a Republican, you are letting Jesus down. I mean, we clearly need more military style weapons everywhere, even in schools and churches. Hell let's arm the pre-schoolers with automatics, as long as it makes the NRA happy. The first four are still Iowa, NH, Nevada, and SC, in that order. Only real shift in that is SC usually came before Nevada, but I'm not sure how much the Nevada caucuses matter. We'll see. Martell Spy
Yeah, you could totally make a Feral Hogs Space Invaders game. Quote Isbell had, like many celebrities, expressed support for gun control (specifically a ban on assault weapons) in the wake of the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings. So McNabb attempted to rebut him by naming a legitimate reason to own AR-15s and other advanced semiautomatic rifles: mowing down the feral hogs that menace him and his young children. Unfortunately for McNabb, the mental image of a violent army of pigs facing off against one AR-15-wielding hero quickly got the better of Twitter and, before long, it was trending nationwide with over 50,000 tweets. They were good tweets. It was probably the only good day on Twitter in the website’s history. And it wasn’t just Twitter. There is already an interactive web game where players can defend their small children from 30 to 50 hogs. 30 to 50 feral hogs, explained Feral hogs, 30-50 or otherwise, are a serious problem for agriculture and human morality. https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/2019/8/6/20756162/30-to-50-feral-hogs-meme-assault-weapons-guns-kids
karaddin
I haven't been able to take quite as much joy in the hog memes since I saw it pointed out that unlikely to be a coincidence that if you add the 30-50 to each other and the 3-5 to each other you wind up with the Nazi whistle number. Those fucks are so obsessed with their weird numerology shit that he's probably getting more pleasure out of getting everyone to repeat those numbers than is offset by the entirety of Twitter dunking on him. Fragile Bird
Wait - there are magic Nazi numbers that these guys get pleasure out of quoting? Eta: ok, 14, 18 and 88, but not 8 and not 80.
Free Northman Reborn
So - at a rough guess, merely for purposes of illustration - you have maybe 40% of the country supporting Trump/ Republican Party, maybe 10% undecided, maybe 30% supporting a moderate Democrat position and the remaining maybe 15-20% supporting the radical, socialist wing of the Democratic party. And yet on this site the general lamentation is that the 30% moderate Democrats are not left wing enough and that woe would befall the nation if a candidate from that 30% block is elected. You guys live in a bubble of radicalism.

I assume most of the other posters here are in the same boat. I'm pragmatic at the end of the day. I actually live in a bubble of conservatism and Trumpism in the real world so this place is actually a nice little refuge for me. In my professional life 90% of my colleagues and probabaly 75% of my customers are Republican or Trump supporters. None of the candidates except Sanders are left wing enough for me and I have my reservations about him. It's not going to stop me from a) stating what kind of government I want or b) sucking it up and voting for an asshole like Biden. Thanks for the thoughts

Thanks for the thoughts I’m not commenting on your personal position. I’m commenting on how widespread your position is on this site, and pointing out (once again) that this site is an echo chamber for a radical minority viewpoint which does not represent main stream politics. More interesting to me is why this forum happens to attract such a skewed sample of the population. My working hypothesis - with only anecdotal data to support it - is that what we are dealing with here is disproportionate representation from academia, either in the form of students or lecturers/ researchers, or ex academics /recent students, etc. And as Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro have pointed out so eloquently, academic institutions have radicalized dramatically in recent decades to the point of becoming bubbles of left wing extremism within broader society. I don’t know. I’m still trying to figure it out. Maybe it’s something else entirely.

Nearly all of his arguments consist of dumb shit like this, where he pulls an arbitrary number out of his ass and then concludes with a non-sequitur that somehow is supposed to prove his point. He has a verbal tic that's his tell so you'll know when you're about to be inundated with some made up bullshit. It's when he begins his point with "Let's say, let's say (blah blah blah)." You know at that point he's going to choose an arbitrary number, he's using "let's" as an unspoken agreement to use the figures he pulls out of his ass and to argue on his terms, and you can rest assured that he'll pull a left-turn conclusion that makes absolutely no sense.
