Trebla
That was one of the best and shocking episodes of TV ever! Spoiler By not showing his face for several minutes while doing compressions, they really had me wondering at first if this was just Logan fucking with the kids or trying to get Roman to fly to Sweden instead of going to Connor's wedding. Poor Connor. The first words out of his mouth when they told him were: "He never liked me" The immediate change of power dynamics when he passed was some damn good black comedy: Kerry gets immediately frozen out and Gerri climbs right back up the staircase after just getting kicked down by Logan. I honestly didn't see this coming even though there was at least one bit of foreshadowing: Logan's talk with his bodyguard about death. It reminded me of the last season of the Sopranos when Tony talked about what happens when you died. Great writing. They set up the final season as Logan vs The Kids but now it's a free-for-all. DireWolfSpirit
Omg I did not see that coming. In retrospect it was brilliant to do it midseason instead of a retreaded finale of moving on from the penultimate character in a finale in one of those staid "seen before" send offs. This lets us experience so much more of the upheaval and aftermath that a show called "Succession" deserves. RumHam
Spoiler It's amusing that Tom still trusts Greg to delete incriminating files. Were we supposed to know what that was about? If so it went over my head. I could see Roman harassing the phone company trying to figure out if his dad got that last message.  Madame deVenoge

Relic
This was a very unique episode from a Hall-of-Fame-Best-of-All-Time-Show, for obvious reasons, but also for the upsetting and unsettling mood of the final 50 minutes. Written, shot and acted to just about sublime perfection. I know ive been raving about how good Succession is since season 1 but i keep getting surprised by just how good the people making this are at their jobs. Madame deVenoge, Week and Aemon Stark
sifth
I've not been the biggest fan of this show, like many others here. Truth be told, I often have it on in the background, while doing work. That being said, WOW, JUST WOW. That was one of the best hours of tv I've seen in my life. I did not see that coming.

Took me seeing Logan’s body to finally admit it’s not a prank   Edited April 10 by Mark Antony
Madame deVenoge
I loved the preview for the remainder of the series.OMG I also loved how Gerri didn’t wait for Roman to apologize or take it back…she just badass gave him some withering looks, and stepped in. Cas Stark
I have no idea how this will resolve or how I want it to resolve. Everyone within the family is both unserious and awful. None of the Roy children can I see being capable of running the company and even Tom, who is probably more capable, is a better ass kisser than an executive. Roman is right now my favorite Roy, but I just can't see him as a CEO.  Madame deVenoge
Winterfell is Burning
Yeah, they chose the moment of Logan's death perfectly, because right now everything: who takes over, selling to Mattson, buying Pierce, etc, is very much up in the air. Madame deVenoge

Mark Antony
And ya now I obviously completely understand why they’re ending at four. Couldn’t see it being any different. Relic

DaveSumm
Fuck. Spoiler Honestly the most realistic depiction of death I can recall seeing on TV or film. Just a complete gut punch. My wife was in tears cos her Dad passed six months ago, I’m trying to comfort her but also trying to hold it together as it reminds me so much of a friends death way back when. The way it completely intrudes on normal life, and you find yourself making bizarre statements - is this a joke? No, of course it’s not a joke. Really though? Are they sure? Could it be a mix up? The way the precise moment gets horribly drawn out, is he dead? They think maybe. It looks bad. Your feelings lurching all over the place. Strange bursts of comedy only minutes after, reliving it and analysing your reaction. I think that could only have worked 10 minutes into episode 3 for the full effect of abruptness, masterfully done. Not remotely what I sat down for, but just incredible throughout.  Ran and Mark Antony
Derfel Cadarn
Incredible. No resolution to the conflicts. Just a dead body and traumatised ‘kids’ with no closure. And a looming boardroom battle
Ran
It'd be some weird karmic justice if Connor ends up CEO, acting as a Roy figurehead for Gerri and the Old Guard. DireWolfSpirit
