Association Football XXXIV - playing with the wrong shaped ball

Mail just put up an article where it basically said you spent 327m since 2011 to replace two players in your starting line up. Not sure if there is much truth to that but I thought that was interesting if true.

They've cherry picked the starting XI and done it mostly without any context bu there's a grain of truth there.

Basically, in my opinion there's a few big names in there who are comfortable with their place in the squad and City need to shift them to innovate. Treading water and teams have worked us out.

I hope Barca have depleted their misses for this week.

Think we can give them a slight pass bearing in mind they came up against one of the best goalkeeping performances of the last decade at least

So basically, city spent 327 mil on substitutes?

Only if you take the most facile reading of that possible and have no desire to examine it in more detail. If that's the case then yeah, sure.

Alcaraz is fucking shit

Everyone not named Martinez has known this for years, to be fair. It remains a mystery to me why even Martinez plays him. What does he think Alcaraz offers to the team, exactly?
