So… Rep. Clay Higgins… the one who claims Jack Smith’s “days are numbered the American people are coming for you”.  Just followed me (I’ve only go a thousand followers) on Twitter…

Not sure what to do with that…

Think of it as being on  Nixon's enemies list; a badge of honor.

I just caught a few bits of a debate between Gavin Newsom and Wrong DeSantis on Hannity's show? Why? Anyhoo, I'm not sure DeSantis was able to find his way home after the beating he got (at least in the bits I saw).

"You're trying to out-Trump Trump so let me ask, how's that going for you? You're 40 points behind him in your own state, governor."

Fucking hilarious McCarthy saying he should be in jail, but it is ABSOLUTELY TRUE that the pedo rapist from Florida should be in jail already.

We have had Bill Cosby locked up, yet Gaetz and Trump flitter around like immune freebirds, its disgusting.

We test pro athletes for drug use. So should we test people like Gaetz and McCarthy!

Can anyone, anyone at all, explain why DeSantis and Newsome debated, and why the media breathlessly blathered on about it for weeks before it took place?  I mean, Newsome isn't even running for any office.  What was the point for him doing this?  With Sean Hannity asking/moderating?  This was a lose lose.  Of course DeSantis loses every time he opens his mouth.  Hell, he loses every time he attempts what human beings call a smile.

They should be used as crash test dummy(s).

This is insulting to crash test dummies. Maybe start them off with testing base jumping equipment used well below the recommended minimum height.

No.

Think Lear's ranting threats of unleashing the terrors of hell upon those who took his crown -- which of course his own selfish egoism gave away. Or Nixon, let's make it very easy -- Nixon's lie that he wasn't a crook.

I Wrote a Movie About a Con Man Elected to Congress. I Never Imagined Anyone Could Actually Pull It Off.
The George Santos saga bears an uncanny resemblance to the Eddie Murphy film, “The Distinguished Gentleman.”

I remember that movie fondly. Murphy and his street-level scammer friends realized they were amateurs compared to the grifts of Congress.

Sadly, even that purportedly dark and cynical take on Washington proved be naive and optimistic, in its belief that a Congressional leader caught on tape ranting about his crooked deals would lose his office and go to jail.

I have heard a lot, a LOT of dem strategists and pundits talking about how it would be really good for Biden to have good surrogates to go out into the world and tout his accomplishments yadda yadda. Even months before this debate was announced they specifically mentioned people like Josh Shapiro, Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer. So maybe that was the point of it? And I’m not sure I’d call it a lose lose… DeSantis looked really bad b/c he always does anyway and especially when he opens his mouth. And Newsom is good at this sort of thing, he’s articulate and made several good points on top of taking the piss out of DeSantis time and time again.
And it’s like, if there are still a handful of semi-rational not brainwashed republicans he certainly gave them a few things to think about. :dunno:

As the reports are that Newsome didn't really get to say anything, as Hannity was all over him every time he opened his mouth, and covered and prompted DeSantis constantly ... it cannot be called a win, or even a draw. :crying:  When will Dems ever learn they can't deal with that kind of media and expect an even silent play right and fair.

The win-win was won by Hannity.

I’m not sure these reports are very accurate… Sure, Hannity was his usual dumb self, but still, Newsom was the only one being coherent and he did land quite a few blows on DeSantis. I’m also not sure about dems avoiding the lies and propaganda news-free channels. I think it’s good when they do go on offensive instead of just playing safe on MNSBC. Like when mayor Pete goes on Fox, he’s always excellent. Even if they don’t change a single mind, it’s good and healthy to expose the cult members to a dose of the facts, however small that dose may be.

Is seems… ^shockingly^… that one of the founders of Mom’s for Liberty has a girlfriend she shares with her husband… a Florida State Legislator.  The Girlfriend is now accusing the husband of abuse and coercion (we’re all shocked I know).

I somehow missed this. It really should be a bigger story, if true. Gotta love how conservates keep doing this.

Which again, if you have Hulu, check out the doc on Jerry Falwell Jr., God Forbid.

Oh stop, we all know you're trying to cover up for your famous orgies.

Why do you leave out bowls of peanut M&Ms? It's thoughtful, but unnecessary.

That Falwell Jr.  doc was really something.  Something depraved.

A lot makes more sense when they confirmed he was (or still is) a heavy day drinker. But still, the rules at the university he and his daddy ran compared to their private life are hilarious.

And Jesus said, "It's unforgivable to have sex before marriage, which you can be expelled for, or really any PDA in general, but afterwards, if you want to watch your wife get fucked for years by a pool boy, and probably some other dudes too, and record it all, that's awesome."

Those are not M&Ms but chocolated viagras. Why do you think you have to sign a waiver, when you sign up for the famous orgies at his residence. Because as a lawyer, Scot knows how to cover his ass at an orgy.

Let us laff, let us laff, let us laff -- you betcha buddy, when as many of your party voted to expel you as did, all scared your criminality would interfere with their re-election.

And that's not all! Oh no, there's so much more on RS.

He then appeared to encourage the crowd to pursue voter intimidation and election interference while comparing the United States to a third world country: “So the most important part of what’s coming up is to guard the vote. And you should go into Detroit and you should go into Philadelphia and you should go into some of these places, Atlanta —  and you should go into some of these places, and we got to watch those votes when they come in, when they’re being, you know, shoved around in wheelbarrows and dumped on the floor and everyone’s saying what’s going on? We’re like a third world nation, a third world nation. And we can’t let it happen.”
