Zorral Posted December 21, 2023 Share Posted December 21, 2023 For reasons I don't quite understand I am rather a sucker for productions whether print or screen to do with Capote and his swans. When I say I don't quite understand myself here, is that my attitude about all those people is they are among the most useless folks to ever walk the earth. They did nothing, contributed nothing except to dressmakers and restaurants and the BOLD FACE NAME writers in social columns which newspapers had in their day. But I have a lovely elderly friend who had the upper East Side bookstore which they all patronized, and he adored them all, and had a lot of personal contact with them, as at lunches and occasionally as a guest at one of their soirees. He gossiped with them. He has photos of them in his lovely apartment and yearns for those years of yore, the happiest and liveliest of his life, he says. The trailer music was literally the best part of WW84. The movie itself had basically nothing in terms of 80’s music. How did they fuck that up?
