Iskaral Pust
We’ll have a ~90% eclipse here, which IIRC is about the same as the one I saw in Chicago a few years ago (2017?). But now it’s forecast to be overcast here tomorrow afternoon, so overall sounds like not a big deal.
IheartIheartTesla
Forecasts have been trending towards warmer temperatures and clearer skies here in mid-Michigan, so it should be great viewing. Looking forward to even the partial eclipse.
Larry of the Lawn
Clear skies here in Burlington right now, but I see a pretty thick cloud banknoff to the west and heading this way. Fingers crossed!
Fragile Bird
It was cloudy all morning but I just got home after doing some running around and, mirabile dictu, there’s a partly sunny sky above my house! I may get to see that 99.8% eclipse after all!
Zorral
People standing around, sitting around, trying to figure out how to wear their eclipse glasses that are being sold all over the place. Nothing is going to start here for quite a while yet. Also, clouds are around . . . . We supposedly get 85-90% here.
Jace, Extat
Sun looks like a pissed-off Pacman from where I'm sitting, in the path of totality. Tears of Lys
A True Kaniggit
Ha! Its cleared up the last 15 minutes! I knew making a sacrifice to the sky god would pay off. Lord of Oop North
LongRider
Clear skies in North California, I saw a partial eclipse with a pinhole camera.
Gertrude
I've been popping out to observe it here (80%) and this last time right before peak you could really notice the difference in daylight and temp and the owls are hooting. Love it. Not as cool as a total eclipse, but still pretty awesome.

Tears of Lys
Even with the slightly overcast sky, I could still see the eclipse with the glasses. It got VERY dark here in SE Michigan. An old lady didn't know what was going on and was slightly panicked by it until someone explained it to her. Very cool! ETA: I really wanted to take a picture of it, but didn't know what setting my phone should be on to get the best shot. I guess I could have put the glasses over the lens, which I just thought of now. Lord of Oop North
The cloud cover was bad, but in the last 10-15 minutes it cleared up a lot and we could see if through our glasses. But once it went total, cloud cover again. Total night was pretty cool. Fragile Bird
Fragile Bird
It got dark here, the streetlights came on and automatic headlights on cars came on as well!

Zorral
It didn't get dark here, also clouds came and went, but around the most obscured minutes, the light turned -- odd. It was fun though, to see so many people of every sort focused on the same thing for the same reasons, enjoying it, and being in good humor. It takes a major sidereal event to bring us together, I guess. Tears of Lys

Everyone out and about at once. Zorral
Larry of the Lawn
That was one of the most memorable and beautiful things I've ever experienced. It got noticeably colder, was able to see Venus and Jupiter. Wonderful. Tears of Lys, Mr. Chatywin et al., Jace, Extat and 5 others
