  1. Its normal to support family members of those accused or convicted of a crime. Its also normal to believe in the complete innocence of said faimily members and thus the accusers are at best very confused what happened or more likely lying bastards. Its even normal when ambused by reporters to say you believe / know your husband would not do such a thing and they other side must therefor be vindictive liars or similar. even if this is somewhat unwise and a no-comment answer is best. It is not normal to try to influance the judge, intimtdate whitnesses and deliberatly smear them. It is not normal to seek out the press beyond maybe giving out one carefully worded statement approved by your husbands defense lawyer. as I said above I can understand a more off the cuff and less wise comments when it first happens and you are being hounded by the press, but thats not what happened here.
  2. Since she is standing down at the general election, accepting her costs nothing and gains them points in embarasing Sunak.
  3. Exactly But they are will use this as an exarmple that its not a problem becasue one famous person forgot id but was able to come back later. I say it proves there is a problem cos it shows not everyone automatically carry id with them at all times. We should not need id to vote. At the very least everyone should be issued with free id automatically. Or allow the polling card as a form of id.
  4. Possibly cos a lot of people think polic comisioners shoukd not bevpolitical so dont vote or spoil ballots atva much higher rate than most elections. Also last time in my area iirc the only party with a policeman standing for commisioner was tory. So if you wanted someone with some job experiance that was who you voted for especially with the very limited infirmation we had on them and we went looking for it.
  5. Labour also got Thurrock which is ranked 4th on areas tgatbvoted for brexit. Admittedly thatbwas a hung council before. 17 out of 22 seets delaced, Cons only retained 1 seet lost 12 Labour on 12 up 8x Others up 4 previously none This gives me hope fir my area which is next door
  6. Or a way of proving forgetting id is no problem as he simply went home picked upmhis id and then voted. Reports i read are stressing so much why its not a problem and it proves there are no real issues when people forget to bring id Unfortunately this misses the point that many people dont have time to return home and come back later.
  7. I personally beleive that if you are unable to use alternative companies then the service offered should be natinalised not private. Afterall the Free market can't do its job when there is no free market. This means water (unless we can shop arround like we can electric) trains, probably busses. Schools and Health allready are - although need more investment
  8. If Hester really wanted to appolgise then he should be donating to a black charity or womens charity not the Tory Party. I'm fine with the Torries not giving the money back, as the donation was many years in the past. They probably should ban him from any future donations. I am very much against any large donations by individuals or organisations. since it encourages kickbacks and favours in return. Blind annonymouse (sorry can't spell) donations might be ok. although overall I'd prefered a very different fixed rate of party funding.
  9. Could BFC make up enough evidance before he gets assinated? might be a more important question.
  10. It was supposed to be when I started, but that book is very old and manky looking. I'd expect part 2 to be the cleanest least worn book
  11. no reaction to your likeness getting pollinated? I also put a lot of work in coming up with the tiltles to all those books. hope you niticed the top one was PART 1. so still not finished....
  12. this is true, but it should be in the rules. things should only be excluded as per the rules and at the moment there is no rule saying "in English" so they should not have been removed for that reason.
  13. sorry this happened to you. so wrong. You could always try the premier Inn. Its not part of the con hotel packages but also very close and not too expensive.
  14. hi thread. its been a long time. So anyway I started doing the spring decorating game drawing. got a bit carried away and decieded that its a little too early yet to start the game so have not created the thread. anyway here is my artwork for your enjoyment. zoom in to catch the details of this sring from a distant future in an alternative timeline. https://i.imgur.com/71gku13.png
