SpaceChampion
Sneaky Pete was excellent. Amazing it's the result of a throw-away comment Bryan Cranston had during his Emmy award speech for Breaking Bad.
Martini Sigil
Next up on our binge list is Netflix's Medici: Masters of Florence.... about the 15th century banking family in Florence, Italy.... Richard Madden plays Cosimo Medici who, in the second episode marries Contessina, daughter of Bardi, played by David Badley.. which is to say that Rob Stark finally marries Walder Frey's daughter

I started watching The Missing yesterday. Nice start so far.

Better than season 1 so far.

williamjm
Watched Ocean's Thirteen for the first time since whenever it was originally released. It was reasonably entertaining but felt like a pale imitation of the first film. One thing I did notice was how Al Pacino's villain now seems strangely familiar - a sexist, duplicitous real estate developer with a focus on casinos and hotels with a big ego and a thin skin, a fondness for putting his name on all his properties and a reputation for screwing over everyone he goes into partnership with. I can't think who that's reminding me of...

RedEyedGhost
I enjoyed Frontier, but I'm not worried about how the characters are dressed which was a big point of contention in a review linked in this thread (as well as the ambiguous timeframe). Among other things they say "ok" etc. In 178-something. Don't think so. Also they talk you to death, The villains in particular talk their victims to death. Cliche after cliche. williamjm
Just watched the first episode of Legion. I thought it was an impressive pilot, definitely very different to any superhero show I've seen before. I thought it was really well directed, despite all the surreal weirdness going on I wouldn't really say it was hard to follow, although I'm still debating what actually happened in it. I thought Dan Stevens brought some real intensity to the lead role.

It is absolutely not a Black Sails, more's the pity. I could have been if anyone had any idea of how to write and plot. The actors are fine, but they are hamstrung by such terrible writing. So they play it as straight as they can, but the mustache twirling is still in evidence. I'm watching the final, third season of the BBC Musketeers this week. Loving it as much as as I did from the beginning of its first season back in 2014. It's action-packed, well-written, well acted, etc. But it's action and fighting more than violence, per se, so it may not suit you as well as it suits me. It's only 3 seasons, so not a massive commitment. It has the best dialogue of any show I've ever seen (which a Tarantino fan should appreciate ), and Ian McShane gave a performance for the ages. Don't let the non-ending hold you back either. Ofc it would have been great to have got more, but it's still plenty satisfying.

Isis
Did anyone in the UK watch Moorside this week? It's a two part drama which tells the true story of the disappearance of Shannen Matthews. It's coming up ten years since this happened, and I think most people in the UK will remember the case. It was a pretty big deal. Anyway, I thought it was great! Very gritty, very realistic, and some great performances from the leading ladies. Karen Matthews (mother of the missing child) is played by Asha Greyjoy.
