Oof. That's fucking brilliant.

I mean, do I feel sorry for the fans? Do I fuck. I see this as a bit of karmic payback for chanting the cunt's name when his cronies were murdering children.

Lol. Lol. Lol. Lol. LOL.

yup. imagine if this carries until the the summer transfer window. mass fucking exodus from that club for sure.

we all know roman has connections to all kinds of unsavory activities. epl knew. everyone knew. still let him buy the club which under his billions accomplished a lot of success. yet now he's a problem? get the fuck out of here.

I'm sympathetic to chelsea supporters who may see serious turmoil in their club.

I can't buy the argument that if someone was a problem before, but we ignored it, that we should continue to ignore it.

Abramovich has used his money to do some good for the club and the game in England. But the source of that money was always tainted and his motivations were always self serving. Can the same be said of the owners of other clubs? Yes. Is this a political move driven by the war? Also yes. Does that mean it's the wrong thing to do? No. Not to me.

If these sanctions aren't lifted in the summer, Chelsea wouldn't be able to sell anyone nor sign any new players (or sign new contracts with current players), so the only ones who'd leave are the ones whose contracts are about to expire. I think that's Rudiger, Christensen and Azpilicueta. Sure, they'd feel that hit but it's not really an exodus. Maybe some other players' contracts are running out, I'm not sure.

Also, you are a bit too old to have THIS as your eye-opener regarding hypocrisy in the world.

As has already been stated, this is the best example of how sportswashing gives great results. We have a guy who has made an insane amount of money by stealing from his own people, through connections with a pretty horrible regime and still people are chanting his name and talking about "he did something good for the game" and stuff like that. Insane.

To be fair MC is right that it's unfair, and the same fate should immediately befall any other clubs whose owners are shelling children.

Can those who murder journalists keep our money though?

Friendly reminder that most billionaires had to do terrible things to become billionaires and that there are very few owners of professional sports franchises that are actually good people.

Yeah there's a category difference between even our slumlord exploiters or West Ham's porn barons, and Abramovic or the Saudis or Delia Smith

I'm imagining the foreigners googling, trying to work out what Delia did that was so heinous.

Lol, you guys are cute. How many thousands of slaves in Qatar have died now building stadiums for the World Cup? Trying to create a hierarchy of evil owners is silly when the entire entity is totally and completely evil.

The PL was happy to take RA's money until it was no longer convenient. The UK government is happy to arm and enable Saudi Arabia while wagging its finger at Russia.

I don't think Chelsea, Newcastle, City or any of them should be sanctioned. Why should football fans, already struggling in this economy, have to suffer the consequences of decisions made without their consent by people far richer and more powerful than them?

Pathetic politicians whose hands are covered in filth, think they can escape that if they virtue signal hard enough.
