Gotta be the slavers

If we are talking westeros then the boltons have to take 1st place, they literaly wear their cruelty on their sigil! Ramsey (the result of roose killing an old man for daring to take a wife then raping the widow)  is hunting and torturing girls and rooses reaction to it is just that it needs to be kept quiet...sorta like hes done worse himself.

But some contributors to this thread think those are good deeds.

Gotta be the Starks. After all, the Starks:

  • Keep five direwolves, an invasive species, as pets
  • Are perverts, with an unusual interest in the queen's sex life, extending to outright voyeurism on one occasion
  • Murder several innocent wildlings and Night's Watch deserters whose only crime was trying to take one of the Starks hostage
  • Have five children, which is more than anyone needs
  • Deliberately and with malice aforethought force Theon to kill the miller's boys
  • Worship the Old Gods, the most evil of all the gods, including Rh'lorr the Burninator, the Drowned God and the Great Other
  • Are not Targaryens
  • Selfishly force Aerys to burn their lord Rickard alive, wasting fuel which could be more usefully used to burn copies of ASoIaF (who needs them anyway?)
  • Smell

And so on. The crimes of the Greyjoys, Boltons, the Dothraki, Slaver's Bay, and so on pale into insignificance by comparison.

To be fair to the St*rks, in this world you probably need to have slightly more than 2 children to replace yourself because of how people are more likely to die before reproducing. However that still doesn't give them an excuse to have 5 children. 3.5 would have sufficed. But no, the St*rks could not control themselves and now there are an additional 1.5 mouths to feed, stealing food that could be used to feed the good Freys or Boltons. Despicable.

There were unquestionably horrible Starks, throughout history.  Those who hung up their enemies’ entrails and raped their daughters.  Nor, were the she-wolves of Winterfell likely pleasant people.

But, I think my point stands.  It’s individuals, not Houses, who should be judged.

Some houses produce more evil people than other houses

You mean a preponderance of bad people in the family both historically and currently.  The Freys are attacked by the fans of the other side but the house does not produce more bad than good.  The Lannisters, Starks, and Greyjoys produce more of the bad. The Mountain clans, wildlings, and the Skagos people are next level bad.

Name one Stark aside from Theon Stark who is actually bad. And then name about a dozen more. Can you do that? Because there are still more 'bad' Freys than that. So saying House Stark is worse is either extremely ignorant to the point I doubt you've read the books, or you are making that argument in bad faith and don't actually believe it, or you have abnormal moral standards.

Arya Stark, a murderer. Jon Snow, a betrayer. Robb Stark, a rebel. Lyanna, an oath breaker. Rickard and Brandon, traitors to their king.

Lyanna broke what oath? At a wedding a bride makes a kind of oath, but the betrothal is a matter for her parent or guardian. So much so that RL barons would pay exorbitant prices to be given the guardianship of likely heirs specifically because it meant you controlled their future marriage. That’s all assuming we have the ~ complete information on the elopement/kidnapping/rescue.

As for Brandon and Rickard? This is polemics?

That's not even half as many as the Freys, putting aside the fact these aren't even 'bad people'. Try again. Or better yet, admit you are just saying that because you don't like the Starks.

Arya Stark, a murderer of  a scumbag who betrays the watch and an insurance conman preying on widows

Jon Snow, a betrayer of an old  vow (due to some.seriously twisted letter writing about his family) while also the only sane leader at the wall protecting manking from ice zombies. Has already saved multiple brothers again and again as well as countless wildling refugees

Robb Stark, a rebel.....agaisnt a sociopathic evil king, by the same logic where the french resistance bad for attacking the SS?

Lyanna, an oath breaker.....arramged marriages arent cool.....you get that right?

Rickard and Brandon, traitors to their king...the mad kimg who betrayed them first

House Targaryen being slandered as an entire family is wild and not really fair to be honest.

Any Iron Island family carries on the tradition of reaving and raping which you’d like to think some members would be like - hold on, this actually is a bad thing we’re doing?

Boltons skinning people continuously is terrible and see above about Iron Islanders.

Given most of the other families we've seen, if that's the worst you can come up with, I'd say they're a pretty decent bunch.  ;)

You forgot some.

Eddard, traitor to his King (twice)

Catelyn, traitor to her king , who was also her son.

Sansa, traitor to her family.

Hey, if you're going to wildly exaggerate, do so with gusto!  Put some real effort into it. :P

Daenerys, crucifier of innocent Meereenese and butcher of Astapor. Jon Targaryen, an oathbreaker and betrayer. Rhaegar, rapist and breaker of marriage vows. Aerys, sadist. Aegon and Rhaenys, mad by association, by having Targaryen (not respecting laws of gods and men) and Martell (breaking of guest right) blood.
