BigFatCoward #241 Posted February 23 (edited) Everton's new stadium looks rather pleasant near the docks. Still dont understand why you would build a new stadium with only 52000 seats though, for a club of that size. https://www.google.com/amp/s/royalbluemersey.sbnation.com/platform/amp/2021/2/23/22296795/everton-new-stadium-plans-bramley-moore-dock-approved-by-liverpool-city-council-goodison-park Edited February 23 by BigFatCoward
Rorshach #242 Posted February 23 I know several fans have raised that question, and I'm unsure about why myself. So I can't really answer the question. For me, though, I just hope everything goes through after having lived through both the King's Dock fiasco and the whole "Destination Kirby"-atrocity. Heartofice #243 Posted February 23 Are fans in the stadium the most profitable ways to make money these days? Does it make much difference if you have 50k or 80k fans? Genuine question, as I suspect that more money is made from corporate away days and general sponsorship. Could it be that the costs of a bigger stadium wouldn’t repay themselves? A Horse Named Stranger #244 Posted February 23 Certainly not the most profitable way to make money. That's TV rights by far (at least for the big European leagues). But it is still a significant part of a club's income. Esp. with EPL ticket pricing. There's also the catering income. Whether bigger stadiums can repay themselves is another questions. Depends on whether you can fill it. If you get 40k visitors on average, than a question of the profitability of a 80k stadium is surely in order (maintenance, staff (stewards, catering, cleaning crews etc.)). And then there's also question, whether there were any restrictions that prevented Everton from going bigger than 52k.
Consigliere #245 Posted February 23 Big boost for Wolves. Jimenez has returned to first team training.
A Horse Named Stranger #246 Posted February 23 And Bayern are pretty much qualified for the next round already.
Consigliere #247 Posted February 23 Atleti have been really poor. Chelsea have made them look like crap and are deservedly in front. Great goal from Giroud.
ljkeane #248 Posted February 23 Huh, I watched about 20 minutes and thought 0-0 was pretty nailed on. This is going to be a good result for Chelsea.
Raja #249 Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM One regular day of the Europa league, that's all I ask. Will never happen.

Vaughn #251 Posted Thursday at 09:29 PM Arsenal is a Schröndingers cat type team - check the score once and there's no way to predict if it held up when you check back 40 minutes later.

baxus #253 Posted Friday at 09:59 AM Milan knocked Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) Belgrade out of the competition on away goals. Surprisingly, from what I've seen of the two matches Crvena Zvezda was the better team overall.
ljkeane #254 Posted Friday at 10:09 AM Henderson is out for 10 weeks. This season is ridiculous. 1 AncalagonTheBlack reacted to this
Mexal #255 Posted Friday at 12:38 PM Same teams every single year. How many times can Arsenal play Olympiakos?
Consigliere #256 Posted Friday at 12:54 PM Well of course United were always going to draw the most difficult opponent we could have possibly drawn. Looking forward to us playing a glamour tie though.
Rorshach #257 Posted Friday at 01:17 PM A lot can happen in a few years, but as of now I really wouldn't mind seeing Ancelotti staying on after his current contract runs out.

Defeats vs: Juve 1-3 home Atalanta 0-3 home Inter 2-1 in cup Spezia 2-0 away Inter 0-3 home (home only on paper but still). Barely eliminated Red Star without a win. Mark Antony #259 Posted Friday at 01:26 PM (edited) Yeah Milan’s form hasn’t been great but you just know Zlatan will score. Also pretty nice tie for Milan to build some experience for next seasons champions league unless they somehow bottle top four completely. Rangers are winning Europa though. The Sunland Lord #260 Posted Friday at 01:33 PM Isolate Zlatan, stop Theo, watch out for their shots on hands in the box and rushing into defenders to get a penalty.
