It'd be an expensive operation to sack him too (3 and a half years on his contract still remaining and he's earning £10m/year). Just checked your schedule. Salah would've been unlikely to start on Thursday (!) against Leicester anyway. Or at least I would have considered it unlikely. Him (and Mane) will be on the plane back on Monday. First training back with the team presumably Tuesday. With different time zones and all. They’ll be wrecked when they return. The Cup match was a nice warm-up after the winter break because it sure looked like the team needed one. Great to see Harvey Elliott back though.
