  1. Fantastic news! Sad this is the penultimate book (though it will be nice to have read a series with an actual chance of completion )
  2. This isn't really something I've seen much of here in the UK. The closest thing when I was younger (Not even sure if this kind of thing still runs) was a summer holidays kind of school club (ours was called Animal Crackers) which ran for 2-3 hours every day at the school and offered fun activities and was essentially childcare.ni imagine there are private services which are a bit better coverage but that was not something I was ever aware of growing up, and none of my friends did anything like that either. My parents were lucky enough that their parents (my grandparents) both lived near enough and were retired and able to offer free childcare for them. I don't know how they'd have managed without that. At my current workplace I know a lot of people struggle. I think being able to WFH helps a lot but it's still a real struggle
  3. And if they let the gays marry it surely follows that we'll all be marrying our dogs next
  4. I'm in agreement with you, but i'll believe this when I see it. I think even if this Bill is introduced it will struggle through Parliament.
  5. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey. Time travel shenanigans aside I enjoyed the episode, Great showcase for Millie as Boom was for Ncuti. Fir such a short season though it didn't do much to advance a greater story arc, but enjoyable all the same
  6. Everyone else hates it I know, I think it's a fun and easy watch, but I think Hemsworth also did well in Ghostbusters and was decent with the comedy even against such a strong comedic cast
  7. my bad moods usually have a cause if I stop to think enough, be it lack of sleep, lack of fluids, nit eating, , hormone issues, work stress, etc. But in the moment of the bad mood I always think there's nonreason for it. Its inly reflecting back later, usually in my therapy sessions, that I can break it down. Keeping a diary of these moods is actually very helpful at showing up patterns or identifying problems you didn't even realise you had. It could even be something as simple as "13th May - Woke up in a a bad mood feeling angry and upset". Hmmm what did I dk the previous day? Went to work, paid some bills, missed the deadline for a job application... Oh thats why I woke up in a bad mood. Just an example as my bad mood is quite often a delayed response to an event/trigger. All that said, sometimes yes I do get that nagging sense of Oh I need to be away from people because I feel a hell of a bad mood coming on
  8. Don't knock it till you've tried
  9. You can go without prostate probing for one evening surely
  10. Does he recall what happened the last time Brits took it upon themselves to start stockpiling without even being asked?
  11. there's no pigs, but luckily you were shipwrecked with several other passengers...
  12. The gravy looks a bit, grim and something about calling them biscuits is weird because its not what I'm expecting(side note: Are they closer to what we call scones? Or just pastry discs?). Also pales in comparison to mince and dumplings, there I said it and I don't even eat meat anymore
  13. If I was going for one food, it would be a mango. Its my current craving. If I'm going for one "dish" its coconut, lime and chilli prawns with rice and red peppers
  14. I've definitely heard this in the UK from at least my first retail job (2013)
