A True Kaniggit
I have placed a Grinch doll amongst the presents under the tree. My younger niece must stop him from stealing her presents when she arrives later. Iskaral Pust
We bailed on our trip to Miami because our son was sick, yet again, this week. So we’re having a cosy Christmas at home after all. Happy holidays, all, agus Nollaig Shona. Spockydog

Zorral
We've survived the storm intact, all prepared for Christmas, solo, for third Christmas in a row due to tripledemic -- and wow are people we know sick with one of them, but most with covid. We're in a terrific mood, cozy and comfortable, with the worst aspects of the storm passing us by, while all around us, this wasn't the case. It's just now very cold, much more so than usual for NYC any time, not just at Christmas. So we're doing a lot of zooming, emailing, foning -- and watching a lot of tv and reading books. And cooking, o my, are we/me ever cooking! I have so much gratitude for our enormous good fortune. Spockydog

The polar vortex was forecast to lower temps in Miami for our first three days there — unfortunate, but not a dealbreaker if we would still have 4-5 days in the high 70s. The flights seemed to be ok on Friday morning, but we had already decided on Wednesday to cancel because our son’s fever had not broken yet and he wouldn’t be in good shape for a vacation. BigFatCoward
My kids never sleep in, never. Now I've been awake for an hour desperate for them to wake up to open their presents. Which Tyler
Merry Christmas everybody - I hope the fat man with the white beard (and I don't mean me!) brought you everything you hoped for. It seems that, for once, a lump of coal would have been a much appreciated, and generous gift Edited December 25, 2022 by Which Tyler
