Wan bissaka balling?

A few minutes ago, Mitoma, he with the literal degree in dribbling, got the ball, looked up, saw AWB ahead of him, and turned around to pass it backwards. If that's any indication for how their duel is going.

Glad to get to another cup final even though we are most likely going to lose against this Cheaty juggernaut.

Wish we could have avoided extra time though.

AWB has always been among the top 1v1 defenders in the league. His major problem is on the other end of the pitch where he doesn't do enough in attack as is expected of a modern fullback. If he can get his attacking play even up to the standards of Dalot (who is by no stretch of the imagination a top tier attacking fullback) then he'd easily be first choice.

Meanwhile at Bayern they've started with the search for who should be held responsible for their failure of a season.

I mentioned Kahn (CEO) having to answer a few unpleasent questions, and now the focus is (finally) shifting towards Salihamidzic (Sporting Director).

I'd be surprised if both of them are still in the job next season.

I think Kahn will point out in talks with Hoeneß and Hainer, that the Sporting side of things are Salihamidzic responsibility. He assembled the squad, he is (together with the manager) responsible for the locker room. Bayern journos are already remarking, that the Mane signing was basically done by him to get himself a new contract. I mentioned it before, most of the highly touted signings did not really work out to a satisfactory level (exception being de Ligt, who has grown into the leadership role in their defense). Mane was a rather mediocre signing, who has been struggling with the step up from the EPL to the Bundesliga, and has had a rather average season. Gravenberch and Mazaroui have been busts. Tel is a promising talent, but no Lewandowski (yet?). Their squad lacks a good proven CF after the departure of Lewandowski, their main guy atm is Choupo-Moting. Now there's also the criticism of Sommer becoming louder, who hasn't performed on a level close to his Gladbach form and who be benched for Ulreich before too long. Oh yeah, to add insult to injury, they were apparently in advanced talks with Schmeichel to join for six months on loan, before deciding on Sommer.

Salihamidzic survived one power struggle with Flick leaving for the FA post. Let's see whether Hoeneß is willing to back him again.
