Arya, the Darkheart

Sansa lost her direwolf.  She is not getting an afterlife.  Catelyn is Stoneheart and Arya is Darkheart.  Jon is Coldheart.  Bran is Wolfheart, the boy who howls at the moon.

Huh? Are these new Pokémons or something?

A plea of insanity during the middle ages may not get her off the hook for those murders.  If we want pure justice then Arya should receive the same gift she gave Dareon.

So you see her killing of Dareon as murder and in the name of justice you are advocating the same for a 12 year old girl? Yeah, she's a real sicko that one.

Arya will go full on mental and destroy a city.  I hope it's not King's Landing.  The Targaryens built that city and it is the capital of their Dynasty.  Let Oldtown or some other city perish from Arya's mad wrath.  Better yet, let Arya accidentally destroy White Harbor or Lannisport.

Why would she do that?  Those she killed had clear motives.  They were either a threat; or had done serious wrong; or, in one case, was assigned to her.

She doesn't kill randomly, and I think mass murder would be inconceivable for her to even consider.  She's troubled and traumatized, not insane.  Her actions all have clear reasons, even if you don't agree with them.

Wormheart is more descriptive for Bran.  He will live underground on the earth where the worms are.  His legs are also not working so if Hodor dies, let's say he will crawl on the ground too.

Rickon is Hungryheart.  He will partake of human flesh anytime he feels peckish.

That is exactly what you can do. Place Arya in a proper environment for a 9 year old and I guarantee she would not still be trying to murder people. Remove the influence of the Faceless Men and she improves drastically.

You can put Arya in a better environment and she will still be the same person inside.  Arya was born with the propensity to go dark.  The trauma pushed her ever darker.  But she will not go back to being good.  The blood stains and the sins will always be there inside that heart.  The severity of her mental illness will fluctuate and it will always show up.

Where are you getting this idea that Arya is innately 'dark'? Because it isn't suggested by the text. Arya is fine until her family gets killed. Only after being isolated and manipulated by the FM does she show 'darkness'.

Reform for Arya is not impossible, especially given her young age.

What mental illness?

Arya has shown signs of being highly excitable and emotionally volatile before going to the FM.  I do not have the books with me at this time but you can look up her conversation with Ned Dayne.  The lad was politely telling a story and Arya became hostile.  It was unprovoked.  Arya composes a list of people she wants to kill and even fantasizes about it.  That's crazy in itself.

This is after Arya has lost family members. She acted exactly like a child who lost family members would.

This is after the FM begin to manipulate her.

Bran is a dark Pinocchio character.  Except one of his friends will die each time he does something repugnant.

I do not think Martin will put Arya in prison.  Arya has the wildness of the direwolf.  She would rather die, and she will, instead of being imprisoned in a facility for the insane.  Arya will die as soon as the last name on her list takes their last breath.  The end of her life will be the only justice for her victims.  It may not be a bad way because Arya gets relief from her insanity.

It's very disturbing to think about.  Arya's career at killing has just begun.  She is learning more ways to kill and she is numb to it.  The deaths of a million people in King's Landing is not going to bother Arya because she has no conscience left.

Arya can't help it.  She has lost her mind.

Spoiler

Arya couldn't stop herself when she saw Raff.  She has an inner demon.  It compelled her to lure Raff and kill him.

This is an interesting must read.
