The dad told her if she told anyone he would kill her. She told her Grandmother and her Grandmother told the police. So, a case was brought against him. Then he picked her up after school because he said he wanted to talk about the case. For whatever reason she got in the car with him. He drove her to a river and shot her. But she wasn't dead. So he stepped on her neck until she drowned in the water.I think that is Hell. And not just for her, but for all of us. Anyway, you don't go to Hell after you die. That is ridiculous. Not everyone wants to abandon whatever book they believe in because they feel that it doesn't fit what they feel or what society tells them they should feel. "If you need" assumes that people just consciously construct these things like fantasies and pick the most comforting ending.
