Video Games: Excuse me Sir, the machine ate my quarter

I would go for classic. The classic set is quite strong and there's still viable decks that can be made with nothing but classic cards. I would recommend picking up the two adventures though (Naxxramas and Black Rock Mountain) as each one comes with a guaranteed set of cards (as in everyone gets the same cards from them), most of which are very powerful. If you decide to spend any money at all on the game, do it there. Otherwise, you'll need to save up a load of gold to unlock them. If you go that route, I'd do all five wings of Naxx, but only the first two (I think) wings of BRM to get Emperor Thaurissan. The rest of the cards in the later wings are good but Thaurissan is by far the best.

I couldn't quite figure out how the adventures worked, but I was somehow able to complete the first wing of Naxxramas a while ago (I played for a bit maybe last year, but never against people; this time I only play against people, its a lot better). I got some 2/8 spider that destroys any minion it damages, called Maxxana maybe? Something like that. I use it in a lot of my decks. Although I haven't quite figured out how to make a good synergistic deck yet. I see them in opponents sometimes, although I am mostly playing other low-ranked players, but my decks are mostly just a collection of my best cards.

I'd guess I win about a third of my games, which is pretty terrible. Fortunately I can't lose rank at 20, so I just sit there. I did briefly make it to 19 once, but that lasted for all of two games. But at least part of that is due to me branching out more, trying the other heroes. I made the trek from 25 to 20 almost entirely playing Paladin, and I do win around half my games as that.

The first week after Naxx came out you could play the first wing for free, that's probably when you played it.

And as long as you're having a good time, who cares? You'll get better and get better cards over time anyway.

I'm shit at deck building personally. Didn't play constructed at all for the longest time but I was doing infinite arena for quite a while. Got pretty damn good at that and got a lot of dust and gold from it. Nowadays I like to play gimmicky decks on ladder. Went try hard mode with my control warrior deck last season and got to rank 5 which is the best I've ever done. When the meta settles down again I might try again for legend. It's all up in the air right now thanks to TGT coming out and I got pretty burnt out on HS again anyways. And there are way too many yellow hat paladins right now for me to want to bother with laddering :P

Gaaaahhhh! I wish Total War had a x10 speed option. Yeah, it's awesome to defend an Eastern provincial capitol against a coalition Sassanid force a la Orlando Bloom in 'Kingdom of Heaven' but when I'm weathering the second attack of the turn and the first one took 45 minutes even though the outcome was never really in doubt, it's a bit annoying. The battle is going on live while I type this I'm so unconcerned. I've broken 3 Eastern armies already, and the fourth will shatter at any moment.

I found the most important stats to ever be release in the Console Warz:

https://www.pixeldynamo.com/news/gaming/2015/09/09/79795/playstation-systems-responsible-majority-youporns-console-based-traffic/

Apparently you can use video-game consoles to look up porn on the Internet, who knew? Well, lots of people actually, so many in fact that YouPorn have analysed their console-based traffic and released some pretty damning figures. The adult entertainment site has revealed that PlayStation owners are responsible for 51% of all console-based traffic, with Xbox fans generating 39%, and those using the Wii accounting for a paltry 10%. It’s worth noting that these figures take into account both last and current-gen consoles.

This isn’t the first time YouPorn has acknowledged their gamer audience, back in July of 2014 the company floated the idea of sponsoring an eSports team. Team YP, aka Play2Win, became reality in December 2014.

So, does this mean that PlayStation gamers are generally more filthy-minded than their Xbox and Wii counterparts, or is it just that there’s more PlayStation 3s and 4s currently in circulation? I think not, after all how many Xbox 360s are out there still being used on a daily basis? Perhaps if Sony’s new console had more exclusives these figures wouldn’t be as incriminating; after all, the devil finds work for idle hands, does he not? As for the Wii, I don’t even want to think about one of those being used for such ends, it just seems wrong.

In a further, hilarious, revelation, YouPorn’s data discloses the favourite genres of each console-owner. PlayStation fans prefer MILF-themed content, Xbox gamers enjoy lesbian porn, and Wii owners, predictably but no less worryingly, have a thing for animated Japanese smut. In one final titbit, the site revealed that women are responsible for 8.5% of console-based traffic; bet that got your attention didn’t it? This means that, somewhere out there, are female gamers who enjoy watching pornography. Just mull over that a while.

In conclusion, Xbox Wins for all time.

And Wii owners are weirdos.

In preparation for the story DLC Tresspasser for DA:I, I'm finishing Jaws of Hakkon and The Descent. Currently, I have one last quest in the former, but I had the pleasure of doing the absolutely hilarious judgement...
of the bear Storvacker! Come on, that was so hilarious! I recruited her for the Inquisition, LOL. No other option is really satisfiying.
I am trying to work up the energy for playing Jaws of Hakkon (have had it for weeks) but I never really get around to it. Too many other things demanding attention.

I started playing it. But I was a little under-levelled. But now I'm level 18 I will probably be able to handle it on nightmare.

Re: Diablo 3.

To go higher still. More/better legendaries=higher difficulities which means higher legendary drop rates. It's a hamster wheel really. Kept me interested while I was still getting new useful stuff but once I got to the point where every legendary that dropped was worse than what I already had and I couldn't find anymore of the new Crusader set to go back to a Hammerdin build I was done. Wheel stopped spinning.

I get that that's the idea of the game - get higher for the sake of getting even higher.  Maybe I'm impatient, but at T2 (though I can clear T3 with difficulty) I'm already rarely getting anything better than my current gear.  Also it feels like if you want to push to T6+ or high grift levels you need to use a prescribed build.  Typically I don't care for min/max-ing, I just grab some abilities that I think are fun and run around killing things.  For the Wizard it just happened that a Vyr's build was in line with what I was already doing.  (Which was a fairly recent addition?  I've only recent come back from a long break.)  So I have something to aim for there, and will continue to pursue those.  But for other classes, I just don't see any reason to try and climb the Torment ranks if their most effective builds aren't using abilities that I like.

Just watch out for those 4 level 30 despair demons on the island to the southeast.

Lovers in a dangerous space time is an awesome casual game to play with family and friends. One of the best coop games I've played. Super cute.

Whhhhy on earth doesn't this game have online play. So disappointing.

Had any deaths yet?
Jessica got dragged out the window by the Big Bad and fell down an elevator shaft. Josh got sawed in half when Chris had to choose whether to save him or Ashley. Apparently it's possible to get through the whole game without any deaths but god damn that must be difficult.

The Peter Stormare sequences are creeping me the fuck out.
You should be at least lvl 20 when you go to play Jaws. It's an ok DLC all in all and more of the same of the base game, but I probably enjoyed it more than many others because I love game lore, especially more obscure game lore like it is with the Avvar so yeah.

Played the Battle of Agincourt and Hastings battles on Medieval 2. Hastings was super easy, just a bit time consuming, but I lost Agincourt three times. My last, victorious attempt had all my infantry die along with about 1/4 of my archers, and I ended up facing the final (fairly small) wave of French soldiers with my general's bodyguard (of which 22 men remained) preparing to hold the line while my archers desperately tried to make them rout. Fortunately the last wave was hesitant to attack, so my archers had time to do so.

That was your problem, they weren't infidels they were godless heathens. So you weren't giving the proper inspirational speeches to the troops to keep them motivated.

Bugger. I'll ensure that the next wave of crusaders is armed with the proper nomenclature first and foremost.

I remember I won Agincourt one time in college while I was pretty drunk. In fact, all I remember was just the setup phase and the ending.
Same exact scenario for me. I don't know how I could've avoided Josh dying, but the Jess death legit had me pissed off cause I screwed up and didn't see it. I hadn't missed a single real time action sequence to that point and go figure (probably out of anxiety) I botched the first button push!! Mike bit it and carried on after Jess with snow all over him. I took the risky route at first and followed that bit the safe route when crossing the branch. I then got to the saw mill or whatever it was and was once again prompted to choose between safe or risky. I went safe again and that's what cost me. It showed me biting it in the snow and then choosing the safe route right after Jess died. DAMMIT! So I screwed up twice there. I really don't think that screwing up that action sequence cost me Jess's life, but it was the choice of taking the safe route and not making up on lost time that cost me there. If you screw the action sequence up, you have to take the risky routes to get their faster. Welp, lesson learned.

See this is why I'm confused. I took all the risky paths and nailed every QTE perfectly and she still died. I don't know what I was supposed to do different.
I found it disappointing that in the Trespasser DLC you don't individually and awkwardly control your character's arms with the controller, you can't stare at your own disturbing 2D cleavage (which doubles as a health bar) and you don't fight T-Rexes. What's the point of reusing such as iconic name (for a crap game, but still iconic) without paying a proper homage to it? Disappointing, BioWare.
