Howdyphillip #3 Posted May 28, 2012 I don't know where they found this hack of a writer, but he RUINED it... The guy they got must have known NOTHING of Westeros...Just kidding... That was absolutely brilliant. Perfect television. I gave it a 10 18 rmholt, Caio T, lostinwesteros and 15 others reacted to this

Ser Hippie #5 Posted May 28, 2012 One of the best hours of TV I've ever seen. Incredibly gripping, which is even more impressive given that I already knew what would happen. 3 lostinwesteros, laceystew and 7V3N reacted to this
Ran #6 Posted May 28, 2012 That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you write the show. Changes? Yes. Characters remaining within the paradigm of what the showrunners have defined (Cersei and Sandor, most notably)? Yep. But it all actually clicks together. My biggest beefs: I wish they didn't have to Hollywoodize Stannis and have him swinging his sword in the forefront, but okay, you want to give him an action moment, I guess. And I wish someone had been shouting, "Renly!" and you'd see the guys in Renly's kit still throwing down their swords or turning on their own.But... uh. Those complaints, they are minor. 10 Kantor, Dracarya, ICE CROW and 7 others reacted to this
Zios #7 Posted May 28, 2012 Enjoyed it, it was rushed and the Cersei scenes broke the tempo, but overall it was great.
salt #8 Posted May 28, 2012 I don't know where they found this hack of a writer, but he RUINED it... The guy they got must have known NOTHING of Westeros...You know nothing. I have the feelings we'll be seeing much more from this up and coming Greg R.R. FirelordSylar22 #9 Posted May 28, 2012 The scene with the wildfyre was fucking insane. That looked like something out of a huge epic movie. 4 Phoenix59, Lord of Long Lake, ziggyender and 1 other reacted to this
Laohu #10 Posted May 28, 2012 How could this episode earn a rating of anything other than a 10. I mean, really.. GRRM = BA Mofo.
Lord Belmore #11 Posted May 28, 2012 I have chills, and it's not just from my A/C. 10.Only complaints are that the end felt a little rushed, Tyrion's injury scene just felt awkward, and I agree that someone(s) shouting "Renly" would have been nice. But having Cersei with Tommen on the Iron Throne was an inspired scene, and the writing was absolutely superb throughout. Wonderful, wonderful television. 2 As high as honor and Mirabilia reacted to this
GOTgirl #12 Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) Phenomenal episode!!! If GRRM was already finished writing the Book Series I would be campaigning for him to be writing each and every episode! Now that is how a real writer does it! Edited May 28, 2012 by GOTgirl 5 Teal'c, As high as honor, Yvonesan and 2 others reacted to this
Died a Hero #13 Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) I gave this episode a 10 because for some reason, the wretched thing wont go to 11.Let's see, the Rain's of Castamere, the Blackwater set afire in a huge green glow, Davos and his son being blown from their ship, Stannis yelling to stand and fight while his men forced him to retreat, Cersei acting like the psycho she is and almost poisoning Tommen, the Hound's face when the guy on fire rushed him, Tyrion's speech and his "Oh, fuck me" and the sword slash from hell, Tywin's troops riding in while his youngest son blacks out, oh and did I mention the fucking Rain's of Castmere? No song from the little bird, no chain, and guess what? No worries. This was a fucking perfect adaptation to the scene I had in my mind when reading ACOK years ago, and no purist will take that away from me. Eddward Stark #15 Posted May 28, 2012 That was just AWESOME! I was initially bummed about the lack of a giant chain, but Tyrion had so many other brilliant moments, that it made up for it. The Hound was great.

Trebla #20 Posted May 28, 2012 I don't know where they found this hack of a writer, but he RUINED it... The guy they got must have known NOTHING of Westeros..Just kidding... That was absolutely brilliant. Perfect television. I gave it a 10I had visions of huge fan hate mail being directed at D & D after the episode because of no chain, not enough ship, Stannis leading from the front, etc."Whoever wrote this episode, clearly has never read George RR Martin!!"Next scene has Benioff on the phone, "And another thing, Martin, I'm stopping payment on the check! Fuck me? Read my lips, FUCK YOU!" **Shamelessly ripped off from Back to School 1 Greywolf2375 reacted to this
